Gmail for the Masses!
(Note: I wrote this on 2/15, but I had to save it as a draft. I couldn’t publish it until now.)
It’s the end of an era. Until today Valentine’s Day, Google’s Gmail service was available only by invitation. The feeding frenzy has long since cooled from the days when people paid $25-$150 or more (!) for an invite on ebay. And who can forget all the forums and discussing groups filled with people begging for an invitation?
