Today’s Photo: Monkey Tricks

I’ve seen shows like this a few times in Tokyo. It is usually about the same. The monkey does various tricks; jumping, dancing, bowing to the audience, etc.

I took this about a year ago, near Yasukuni Shrine. You might be familiar with Yasukuni Shrine. The former prime minister, Mr. Koizumi, angered people in China and Korea by making official visits to the shrine. (Many war veterans, including Class A War Criminals from World War Two, are enshrined there. His visits to a shrine that honors war criminals as the head of state were seen as a slap in the face by many people in other countries.)

But putting aside politics, it is a good place to view cherry blossoms. Although it is only about a 10 minute walk from my school’s headquarters, I have only gone there twice.

Sorry About the Lack of Posts

I have been a bit busy. Actually, I wrote a couple posts the other day, but didn’t finish them. I am doing ok, but once again, my site is messed up in Internet Explorer. I can understand the problem…It is called a “drop float.” Basically, when I posted my flickr photos a few days ago, Internet Explorer pushed my sidebar down below. This is only a problem with Internet Explorer, but as I wrote last month, I don’t have regular access to Internet Explorer. If you use Internet Explorer, the sidebar is on the bottom. If you use Firefox or any other browser (hint, hint…), my site appears correctly. It is a well-known bug with Internet Explorer. Please be patient, until I can get to a computer with IE and fix it…or you could always download Firefox here.

At any rate, I will write more tomorrow. It is already late, and I am tired. Thanks for your patience.
