This is the personal blog of Andrew Buckingham.
This began primarily as a way for me to keep my friends and family back home informed of some of the highlights of my day-to-day life in Tokyo, Japan.
I have many interests: Japanese and Chinese languages, philosophy, martial arts, photography, technology…While I sometimes touch on those issues here, this site is primarily a photoblog for my friends and family back home. A lot of the pictures I take are not particularly exciting; they are simply a record of the places and I go (mostly work…boo!) and the things I do (again, work…boo!) 
I’ve been here since September 2003. I am not fluent in Japanese yet, but I’m working on it. I haven’t always put forth my best effort in that department. It’s easy to get distracted and/or discouraged. But I’ll get there because I am stubborn!
